The Grade, Dating Grades For New York City Boroughs

Posted on January 9, 2015

The grade lotoPR NEWSWIRE – Jan 7 - The Grade uses a proprietary algorithm that assigns letter grades to users ranging from "A+" to "F" based on three categories: profile quality, message quality, and responsiveness. The data shows that Manhattan men and women ranked highest on average with an "A" grade driven by quality user profiles, while Bronx men and women received on average an "F" grade due to low profile scores and poor message quality. Since its launch on November 10th, The Grade has gained traction in NYC with over 750K swipes, 6K matches, and 25K messages from NYC singles.

Online Dating App “The Grade” Kicks Out Bad Daters

Posted on December 12, 2014

The grade lotoFORTUNE – Dec 11 – The Grade, a new dating app developed by Snap Interactive, gives users a letter grade, and kicks off anyone who earns an “F”– which turned out to be 5% of its early users. The app launched last month. “We want to hold users accountable for their behavior,” says Cliff Lerner, CEO of Snap Interactive. “We believe the next big thing in online dating is accountability.” The grades are determined by an algorithm that looks at everything from grammar to how often users respond to messages. Overall grades are calculated based on the profile quality, responsiveness, and message quality.

“The Grade” Dating App Wants To Weed Out The Creeps

Posted on November 18, 2014

The grade screenshotNY POST – Nov 15 – The Grade, a free matchmaking app that launched this week by Snap Interactive, uses an algorithm to boot users with bad grammar and dirty messages. It ranks profiles A+ to F based on popularity, message quality and response times. Like Tinder, The Grade users swipe right to like a profile. If two users match, they can begin messaging. But daters with a D grade get a warning, and daters with an F are bounced.
