Whatsyourprice logoDACULA PATCH – Feb 12 – According to a study by dating auction site WhatsYourPrice.com, men are paying an average of $131.70 for a first date during the weeks leading up to Valentine's Day. The average annual price is $80. WhatsYourPrice.com is an online dating website where first dates are bought and sold through a bidding process. The website was founded by Brandon Wade, who also founded the Sugar Daddy Dating website, SeekingArrangement.com, as well as the travel dating website, MissTravel.com, and the millionaire matchmaker website, SeekingMillionaire.com.

More Students Turning To ‘Sugar Daddies’

Seekingarrangement logoCTV NEWS – Jan 24 – A growing number of Canadian university students confronted by rising tuition costs are turning to "Sugar Daddies". According to Brandon Wade, founder and CEO of SeekingArrangement.com, the ratio of female "Babies" vying for each man's attention is roughly 12:1. There are Sugar Mommies, too. Wade says his site has seen the number members who are university students grow from 30% in 2006 to ~50% last year.

Seeking Arrangement makes the following calculations: “The average Sugar Baby dates 1-3 men annually, receiving an average yearly allowance of ~$36K. If a prostitute makes on average $250 per transaction, she would have to have sex with presumably 100 men, performing over 144 sexual transactions.”

Brandon Wade Is Fighting PayPal For Ditching Him

Brandon-Wade11BUSINESS INSIDER – Aug 31 – Brandon Wade runs an online dating empire including whatsyourprice.com, in which singles "bid" on first dates, and SeekingArrangement.com aimed at "sugar daddies." He recently sued PayPal, claiming it got rid of him because it deemed these businesses too "sexual" and even implied his websites promoted prostitution. Paypal is handling payments for Ashley Madison, a much more lucrative customer. So far, Wade has won a small victory in his case against PayPal. The judge in charge of the case rejected a motion to dismiss the suit before a trial.

On What's Your Price, a man offers a "price" for a date and the woman can accept, decline or counter the offer. Seeking Arrangement is the same idea but covers longer periods of time with monthly payments. Seeking Arrangement has 1.6M members. Despite Wade's claims that members are just looking for love on the site, he has admitted that 40% of the men on Seeking Arrangement are already married.

First kisses tend to take place two dates or one week into the dating process, and the first time a couple has sex is, on average, after four dates or two weeks. And if things go well, dating couples move in with each other, on average, after 30 weeks or 60 dates.

Brandon Wade, the founder of seekingarrangment.com, says the US site has 80K UK members. The site claims a million members in America, with 10 women ("sugar babies") to each man. "40% of the sugar babies are students who need help with their tuition fees," Mr Wade said."The next largest group is single mothers." The "sugar daddies" are chiefly bankers, entrepreneurs and chief executives in their early 40s with an average income of £170K a year. They spend £2,862 a year on "sugar addiction" and are 13 years older than the women.

Students Join Sugar Daddy Dating Sites

Seekingarrangement screenshotDAILYMAIL.CO.UK – Apr 24 – Female students are flocking to 'sugar daddy' dating sites to meet rich older boyfriends as they struggle with debts which will average £53K for those starting degrees this year. SeekingArrangement.com has released figures showing the 20 British universities with the highest number of students joining the controversial site. Top is Nottingham University with 61 sign-ups, followed by the University of Kent (57) and London School of Economics (51). Cambridge University came fourth with 46 students signing up to the dating website. The SeekingArrangement.com site is clearly more than happy with the influx of student signups. New members who are also students are upgraded by the site to a premium account, and they are given a 'college sugar babe' stamp on their profile. Members with these stamps get three times more responses than regular female members of the site. 35 % of the site's 50K UK members are students.
