Gen Z Is Using Hinge for Jobs and LinkedIn for Dating

INDIA TIMES – The lines between professional networking and dating are increasingly blurring for Gen Z. A survey by ResumeBuilder.com found that 34% of dating app users have used platforms such as Hinge, Tinder, and Bumble for career-related purposes, while a 2026 survey by Resume.org found that 28% of single adults had used LinkedIn for dating. Researchers suggest LinkedIn’s detailed profiles and perceived trustworthiness make it appealing for romantic connections, while dating apps are increasingly being used to find mentors, referrals, internships, and job opportunities.

PRNEWSWIRE – True for Two has launched in the U.S. with a focus on singles seeking marriage and long-term relationships. The platform uses an extensive onboarding process to assess values, lifestyle preferences, family goals, and future plans before matching users. What Will It Take for Men to Truly Understand Women?

Posted on June 10, 2026
What Will It Take for Men to Truly Understand Women?

FEMALE FIRST – For most of human history, men did not really need to understand women. They only needed women to fit a role. Women have changed faster than men, and many men are still struggling to comprehend the scale of that transformation. Modern women are increasingly constructing entirely new identities around autonomy, agency, education, self-development, and emotional self-definition, and are more educated than men in many countries. More financially independent. More socially connected. More politically vocal. More psychologically self-aware. And crucially, less willing to tolerate relationships that diminish them emotionally or intellectually.

Men will need to abandon the fantasy that masculinity is weakened by empathy. Empathy, emotional intelligence, and listening are not signs of weakness or submission. Boys need to be raised differently. Not less masculine, but more emotionally capable. Men must accept that women’s independence is not a threat. Women are not evolving around men anymore, but increasingly around themselves.

Mark Brooks: I believe if women were as physically strong as men, then the roles would be largely reversed. Physical strength will become less of a priority, so women will take the fore. I’m interviewing Dr. Stephen Whitehead, the author of this article, today at LTR. Slightly controversial and definitely interesting stuff, and highly relevant to online dating, of course.

TABLET – Matchmaking is thriving despite the rise of dating apps. The number of matchmakers registered with the Global Love Institute has grown from ~1K to ~10K in the past six years, as more singles turn to personalized matchmaking services. Once a niche profession, matchmaking now serves a broad range of clients and interests. However, many matchmakers say today’s singles have become more difficult to match, with changing expectations and attitudes toward dating and relationships.

Experts point to dating app fatigue, financial stress, fear of rejection, social isolation, and hookup culture as key reasons. Many young people feel disconnected from romance and are less optimistic about finding relationships than previous generations.
