IT PRO — Aug 13 — According to Juniper Research, social networking and dating sites will push the number of mobile broadband users to over 1 billion by 2012. Related revenues will jump from $527 million to over $5.7 billion. Mobile social networking sites alone will increase from 14 million to 600 million users in five years and will account for over half of the generated revenue by 2012.
