HOUSTON CHRONICLE – Dating app Pure has been named in a $1M lawsuit filed by the parents and great-grandfather of a 13-year-old girl. They allege that former Harris County deputy Nicholas Burbridge posed as a 16-year-old on the app before drugging and sexually assaulting her. The lawsuit claims Pure failed to prevent minors from accessing its adults-only platform. Pure said it is reviewing the allegations and continues to strengthen its safety measures.
