FAST COMPANY – Match Group research suggests Gen Alpha is approaching dating with more optimism than Gen Z. In a survey of 823 US teens aged 13–15, 92% said they were happy with their social lives, while 87% were confident they would achieve traditional milestones such as marriage, children, and homeownership. Only 20% have been in a relationship, with friendship remaining a priority, but attitudes towards dating apps are surprisingly positive: 51% would consider using them when they turn 18 and 65% believe apps can be a fun way to meet people. Match Group says it hopes to fix the problems that have driven Gen Z’s dating-app fatigue before Gen Alpha becomes its next generation of users.
