AshleyMadison.com Linked To A Murder Case

Ashleymadison logo new apr 2010CHICAGO SUN TIMES – Feb 26 - AshleyMadison.com takes its publicity where it finds it, even from a murder case. Allan Kustok is accused of shooting his wife in 2010. In an effort to establish the motive, prosecutors have introduced evidence of two extramarital affairs Kustok pursued with women he met through AshleyMadison.com. AM CEO Noel Biderman acknowledged the Kustok case is helping his website “reach an audience that we probably aren’t able to reach otherwise."

  • 49 is the average age for male cheaters
  • 39 is the average age for woman cheaters

850,000 UK People Are Cheating Online

Illicitencounters logo newMIRROR.CO.UK – Feb 23 – ~850K people (5% of UK's married population) have registered on IllicitEncounters.com, the UK's largest extra-marital dating site. Men as old as 94 and one 76-year-old woman are among those to have signed up. The youngest user is just 22. Illicitencounters.com has been slammed by The Marriage Foundation and a dad from Merseyside who is going through a divorce after his wife used a similar site.

Men Forgive Emotional Affaires, But Not the Physical Ones

Victoriamilan logoCNBC – Feb 10 – 72% men believe sexual affairs are worse than emotional affairs, while most women (69%) consider emotional cheating the "worst-case scenario," according to a survey by cheaters' website Victoria Milan. 76% of women would forgive their partner for a sexual affair, while only 35% of men would. 30% of women and 80% of men would forgive emotional cheating. ~23% of men and 19% of women cheat on their spouses, according to a 2011 online survey by Indiana University. 27% of divorces around mid-life and beyond were due to cheating.

SeekingArrangement actively pursues college-age students. They now account for 44% of total memberships and are the site’s largest demographic. The site claims 58K sugar babies. Those who are seeking straight prostitution are removed from the site.

Gleeden Sees Impressive Growth In French Market

In comparison, Ashley Madison boasts 22 million global members, though their French membership is only 400,000. A survey commissioned by Gleeden in 2010 revealed that 37% of the 500 people interviewed “had cheated or may have cheated.”
