S WILLIAMS – Aug. '24 was the end of an era. Venntro Media Group, my 21-year venture, was placed into administration. This decision was difficult, coming after years of navigating an ever-changing industry and mounting challenges that ultimately proved insurmountable. We overextended, stalled, and couldn't recover. Venntro, at peak, employed nearly 200, with revenues of almost $50m/yr, and EBITDA of nearly $8m, all bootstrapped. I want to deeply apologize to our shareholders, staff, and creditors who have been affected. In the final months, I injected all my personal funds into the company. Just under £200,000. My wife used up her savings to support payroll in the final month. I was irrationally optimistic, and when the tide turned, it turned quickly. The assets and operations of Venntro have been acquired by another company that I will continue to support.

HubPeople Terminates Agreement With Venntro Media Group Amid Financial Collapse
OPW – On Sep 3rd, 2024, HubPeople terminated its agreement with Venntro Media Group after the latter entered administration on Aug 2nd. Venntro, facing over £2M in debt, had earlier shifted from its long-standing revenue-sharing model under WhiteLabelDating (WLD) to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach. This transition left many of its affiliates in uncertainty. In May 2024, HubPeople partnered with Venntro to help migrate its B2B partners to HubPeople’s Excite and Affinity platforms. By July, HubPeople was also assisting in the transition of Venntro's in-house brands. However, following Venntro's entry into administration, HubPeople ended its service agreement. HubPeople now holds exclusive worldwide rights to market and process the data of 15M users who were previously hosted on Venntro’s platform.

Breaking News: Venntro Media Goes Into Receivership in UK
OPW – The company that is now called Venntro Media (since 2015), which used to be called Global Personals and operates White Label Dating, is in administration in the UK. The administration process may take a year before the company can be deemed bankrupt. CEO/founder Ross Williams was not available for public comment, per insolvency laws in the UK. The company operated an extensive network of White Label Dating services and included its own brands under JustSingles.com. In February 2023 it also spun up an ad company, Red Path Media. In April 2024, they gave 30 days notice to their White Label Dating affiliates and in May announced that they were going to move away from white labeling and move to a SAAS platform provider model. Ross has some involvement/stake in Ambervine.
HubPeople Launches 900+ New Dating Sites Amid WLD’s Major Industry Shift
LINKEDIN – HubPeople has had a productive week, launching ~900 new dating sites using their hubpeople.ai platform. Following Venntro Media Group's pivot from the revenue share model for WhiteLabelDating.com, HubPeople partnered with them to transition existing partner brands and domains to their Excite and Affinity platforms. This marks a significant shift as WLD moves to a SaaS model, ending the traditional revenue-sharing approach by May 31, 2024.
