The company runs AreYouInterested.com and has over 41 million installs across that brand. Revenue has increased 303% to $3.7 million from $927k, net lost increased to $920k from $803K. Cash increased 238% to $10.2 M from $3M.

Nigerian Scammers Online Dating Schemes

Scammers1 TECH CRUNCH – May 15 – A group of Nigerian scam artists known as the Yahoo boys, run complex schemes to defraud people of their money. Their latest scam involves online dating and the targeting of lonely men. One of the Yahoo boys is particularly adapt at running these schemes, carrying up to seven relationships at a time while pretending to be a woman. The scam artists use carefully constructed porn clips or hire actresses to portray the fictional girls to seduce the victims out of money.

California Bill Imposes Strict Privacy Rules For Social Networks

Paragraf SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE – May 15 – Proposed California bill SB242 would place tight restrictions with heavy violation penalties on social networking sites. Under the proposal, SB242, social-networking sites would have to allow users to establish their privacy settings at registration instead of after they join and set information to private by default, among other restrictions. The bill is facing heavy opposition from online companies.
