AshleyMadison.com Members’ Data Leaked Online
DAILYMAIL.CO.UK – Aug 19 – The names, addresses, phone numbers and credit card details of ~37M users were revealed in a 9.7 gigabyte file dumped on the dark web. AshleyMadison has called the data breach 'an act of criminality' and the FBI is now investigating. The hackers, who called themselves the Impact Team, asked for AshleyMadison and Established Men to be taken offline which did not happen.

MileHi Connects People On The Flight
DAILYMAIL.CO.UK – July 14 – MileHi is a new dating app that works like Tinder but connects people in the terminal and on the flight. MileHi's owner insists that the primary function of the app is to be a business tool. Once users sign up, their occupation is revealed, as well as their marital status. The app connects people in the vicinity and allows participants to accept or reject prospective dates with a single ‘swipe’ according to whether they consider them hot or not. People can decide before they fly whether they want to switch to sit next to each other before they fly. Virgin Atlantic said it was relaxed about the new MileHi app. A spokeswoman said: 'Networking in the sky isn't necessarily new as many business meetings have taken place at our Upper Class bar. It's the perfect place to for our customers to meet their fellow passengers.'
Tinder Goes Hands-Free, Heart Rate Swipes Right Or Left
DAILYMAIL.CO.UK – July 7 – Developers in Texas have created an app that uses heart rate to determine how users really feel about a person's profile on Tinder. Called Hands-Free Tinder, it uses heart rate sensors built into wearables. When a profile is opened, the heart rate monitor starts tracking the wearer's pulse and if there is a noticeable increase, it assumes they like the profile and the app automatically generates a right swipe. The app will launch 'soon' on the Apple App Store as well as Google Play.

The men were paying its staff members to pose as women looking for love rather than attracting genuine female members. The scam the eight executives are accused of operating is known as a 'sukura' in Japan.

That means the ratio of male to female AFF members in the UK is 16:1. ~4M users of AdultFriendFinder had highly sensitive information, including birthdays, ZIP codes, sexual orientations and email and IP addresses, exposed during the hack.
